The iron clubs in Cobra's new Darkspeed family are designed for those looking for a forgiving club that also gives you more distance and has a pleasantly soft feel. Darkspeed irons feature a hollow construction, which allows the face to flex more for increased distance. The hollow construction also allows for more weight in the sole, giving a higher launch and more spin on the ball. Like the drivers and fw in the Darkspeed family, the irons have been fitted with the curved PWRShell face. On the iron, the face goes both down into the sole and up on top, making the club more forgiving over a larger part of the face. Like the driver, a PWR-Bridge weight is positioned to maximise ball speed while allowing the face and sole to flex freely. The cavity of the club is filled with a soft foam that dampens vibrations and, above all, provides a soft sound when hitting the ball.
